What should be the conclusion?
The conclusion in the essay plays no less important role than its other elements. When getting acquainted with the conclusion of the reader should have the opinion that the author has presented all his ideas. Even in the work with the open final there should be a feeling that it is fully disclosed by the author.
In this part of the work it is not necessary to give spatial reasoning or to feed the reader with new information. The conclusion should be brief, but capacious enough to draw all the necessary conclusions. To write such a conclusion, it is necessary to choose very precise laconic phrases that will logically follow from the text of the main part of the essay, and will be written in the same style with the whole work.
Types of conclusions
Logical conclusion. This option is suitable for an essay in which the introduction raised a question. In conclusion, such a question should be answered, which is the logical conclusion of all work.
An open end. It is not always possible to find an answer to the question, and in some cases, the author deliberately builds his essay in such a way that the reader has an unresolved question. The open ending in the essay reminds the movie which ending forces the audience to think over possible variants of development of events. But to resort to this type of conclusion, you need to write a very strong, interesting essay.
Summarization. This type of essay completion is used very often. It is to summarize the main idea of the essay. However, do not just retell what has already been set out earlier. The reader may not like this move, because he already knows it all. It is much better in the process of summarizing to bring the reader to a new level of reasoning.
Rhetorical question. The conclusion will be more effective if a simple summary starts with a rhetorical question, but the question itself should fit harmoniously into the topic of the work, and not be cited for a red word. The rhetorical question is intended to return the reader to the original problem of the work and emphasize its relevance.
Call to action. It is not appropriate to call the reader to any action in every type of essay. The entire essay should be devoted to bringing a person to the Commission of this action in a reasoned way, and not just have a descriptive character. The essay, which ends with a call to action, should be sufficiently convincing and cause a person strong emotions.
A spectacular spot. To formulate the last sentence of the conclusion so that it has a strong effect on the reader is an art. It can be some provocative statement, an apt quote of the classic or just a beautiful phrase. It is important that such a spectacular point fit into the overall style of the essay, otherwise it can produce the opposite effect. This is especially true of long quotations, which many authors do not recommend to make in conclusion. If you take a quote, it should be brief and very deeply reflect the essence of the whole work.
